Who we are
We have our mother to thank for this lovely mercantile.
She insisted we read Beth Brower’s incredible volumes and you know how that goes. We couldn’t put them down.
Instead of sleep, we read.
The laundry piles mounded.
The books traveled to carpool pickup, soccer practice, the school and any other place that we could squeeze in a few more minutes of reading.
Somehow we made more time to read than we had in the last six months.
And we’re still reading them… again.
There is something wholesome and good about these books. You can laugh and cry all within a journal entry. Emma’s emotions feel raw and relatable, and we are caught with wonder. It’s quite marvelous, and while we wait for the next volume and the dozen or so after that, we felt it necessary to keep her spirit and good nature alive with keepsakes and goods with our charming shop. And like most mercantiles of this era, we hope On Traitors Road becomes more than a shop, but a community of good friends and patrons.
So thank you for following along. Thank you for perusing our shelves. Thank you for every purchase big or small. Thank you for returning again and again. We are ever so grateful.
